We’re thrilled to announce the First Hands-on Microfluidics Workshop organized by our lab and the official launch of Oliveira Outreach, our new foundation dedicated to promoting science and education in the Biotech and Microfluidics fields! The workshop, Microfluidics: Design, Fabrication, and Biological Applications, is a one-day, hybrid event that will introduce NCAT undergraduate students to the exciting world of microfluidics. Participants will learn about computer-assisted design (CAD) tools and rapid prototyping techniques to fabricate their microfluidic designs. You’ll also get to present your work as a solution to a biological challenge of your choice!
Highlights:
- This is an Undergrad Students-only event. JSNN's Grad Students are welcome to join Sam's course in the Spring Semester of 2025.
- Explore the interdisciplinary field of microfluidics, connecting biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering.
- Gain hands-on experience with advanced design and fabrication techniques.
- Students will make quick designs using Flui'DEVICE provided by Eden Tech
- Dive into how microfluidics can solve real-world biological problems.
- Get exposure to cutting-edge research at the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering.
