Lab Training in Progress

The Oliveira Lab is excited to highlight the ongoing training of Hannah Hobbs and Jianna Evans as they continue building hands-on experience in the lab.

Hannah, a rising senior from Clemson University, and Jianna, an incoming Master's student, are being trained in core lab techniques that support our biofilm research, including culturing bacteria, preparing experiments, and capturing microscopy images. Through this training, they are gaining exposure to both the biological and imaging workflows that help drive the lab’s research forward.

Hannah is also helping create infrastructure around micro-fluidics in the lab, supporting the development of experimental systems that allow us to study microbial growth and behavior under controlled conditions. Go Hannah!

We are proud of both Hannah and Jianna and excited to see how they continue to grow within the lab and contribute to the team’s research directions.
