Nona Hashemi won 1st prize in the Graduate Level category for her poster titled “A Rapid and Accurate Microfluidic-Based Approach for Gut Disease Profiling and Cell-Therapy Screening” at the 22nd Annual Poster Vendor Night. The event, organized by the Central North Carolina section of the American Chemical Society (ACS-CNC) and hosted by JSNN, took place on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 10th.
In addition to representatives from four companies (Chemglass Life Sciences, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Büchi, and YMC America), the lively poster session featured a record number of posters (65), including 25 presented by undergraduates and 38 by graduate students from area colleges and universities, including UNC Greensboro, Guilford College, Elon University, N.C. A&T State University, Winston-Salem State University, High Point University, Wake Forest University, and North Carolina State University.
On the right top corner, Nona got her award from three of the organizers of the Poster Vendor Night: Syngenta's Bill Eberle, Kathleen Neff, and Sarah Sihvonen.
