Oliveira Lab Retreat in the North Carolina Mountains

To welcome summer, the Oliveira Lab traded pipettes for pine trees and spent the first weekend of June surrounded by fresh air, good food, and great company.

We hiked mountain trails, played board games late into the night, and barbecued under the stars—all while strengthening the bonds that make our science stronger.

This weekend reminded us that creativity and collaboration often start with connection. Grateful to be part of a team that values both discovery and downtime.
