The Oliveira Lab is excited to host the Python for Bioengineers Workshop 2.0 as part of Oliveira Outreach, an initiative dedicated to promoting science and education in biotechnology.
This one-day, hybrid workshop introduces participants to applying Python to biological data and systems. Through hands-on sessions, attendees will learn how to analyze, interpret, and work with data while building confidence in computational approaches. No prior programming experience is required.
While the workshop is open to all interested participants, undergraduate researchers in biomedical and related fields are especially encouraged to attend.
Highlights:
Introduction to Python and its applications in biological research
Hands-on coding sessions focused on working with biological data
Guest speaker Dr. Tianqi Song, who specializes in DNA-based biological computing for innovative medical solutions
Talks from Oliveira Lab researchers on applying Python in their work
